Dry Breaking Force Test

Dry breaking force test was conducted in accordance with ASTM D 5034-09, using the Grab Method. Five 100mm * 150mm specimens were cut in the machine direction and eight in the cross-machine direction. The testing was conducted using an Instron 8516 Universal Tester with an initial jaw separation of 75mm and a crosshead speed of 300mm/Min. Specimens were tested in the “as received” condition.

 

Test Results: Break Strength, lbf, Machine Direction = 61, Cross Direction = 57, Both Passed.
