Accelerated Aging

Accelerated aging was conducted in accordance with the method outlined in Section 4.1.3 of ICC-ES AC 38. Four 254mm square specimens were cut from the UV exposed sample and cycled as follows:

 

> Oven drying at 120°F for three hours followed by,

 

> Immersion in water @ room temperature for 3 hours followed by,

 

> Air drying at 75° +/- 5°F for 18 hours.

 

Visual examination of the specimens was conducted after accelerated aging for any evidence of surface or structural changes. Prepared specimens of the examined material were then subject to the Water resistance test.

 

Test Results: Accelerated Aging, No Cracking, Pass
